OpenAI Is Shutting Down ChatGPT Atlas After Nine Months

OpenAI is shutting down ChatGPT Atlas, its browser, after nine months. The company is putting that attention into enterprise productivity instead.
Atlas launched to put AI directly into the browsing experience, the idea being smarter, faster online work. It never found its footing in a market that already has entrenched players. Pulling the plug this early says OpenAI would rather move the resources somewhere with a clearer payback, and right now that somewhere is business tools.
